Important – Read This Page Before You Register for Safe Gaming System Service
Registering for Safe Gaming System (SGS) service provides you a “safety net” that helps you avoid gambling behavior that can cause you harm. SGS provides many features that are directed at maintaining control of your gambling. If you haven't already read a thorough explanation of SGS, you may do so by clicking here: About the Safe Gaming System.
The SGS philosophy is very straightforward. It is that gambling is a recreational activity only (exception is a professional gambler). Therefore, expenditures for gambling must be limited to a reasonable portion of your disposable income that can be made available for recreation. Gambling should never be allowed to absorb any portion of your income or wealth that will cause harm to you or negatively affect either your own quality of life or that of your family or dependents (problem gambling).
Here are some key points, which are also covered in our "ABOUT" sections.
There is a modest registration fee to establish and maintain an SGS account. This fee is rebated to you as you use SGS optional services.
SGS registration includes an assessment of your current gambling behavior through a simple, self-administered, online test. SGS retains your ongoing gambling results and privately provides you with feedback, highlighting anything that may help you maintain control and avoid problems.
SGS provides tools to help you accurately calculate your financial position in order to set or update your non-harmful gambling (money and time) limits. Once your limits are set, you will be asked to agree to stick to your limits. Complying with the limits makes it extremely unlikely that you will subsequently develop a gambling problem and is a key to your continued enjoyment of recreational gambling.
